Rosalba and George were two lovebirds from Chicago. The very first thing that I noticed upon meeting the couple was their kind and inspirational attitude. They had that amazing vibe that was evident the first time I shook their hands. I had no doubt in my mind that this wedding pictorial would be one of the most unforgettable ones for me.
Since Rosalba and George decided to get married, they wanted nothing more than a memorable dream wedding in Santorini. Just like all couples who wanted to get married on the island, the two were enchanted with the fantastic views, the lovely natural scenery and the romantic atmosphere of Santorini. They told me that they wanted a dream wedding; a wedding that will be very special not just for them but one that will be very special, and memorable for their close friends and family as well.
The couple stayed at the spectacular Andronis Boutique in Oia, a stunning boutique hotel that we chose as one of the venues for our photoshoot. The hotel’s impressive Mediterranean scenery that overlooks the azure sea was definitely one of the best backdrops for a romantic pre-wedding photoshoot. Aside from the Adronis Boutique Hotel, we went around Oia Village for the wedding pictorial. The picturesque blue domes were the couple’s favorite spot. It was the perfect setting that described their awesome chemistry. Everywhere Rosalba and George went; the excitement could clearly be seen in their eyes. They lived every moment and were truly very much in love.
The lovely view around Imerovigli Village found adjacent to the north of the island capital of Fira was the very first place we visited in the morning of the photoshoot. Rosalba and George arrived at the venue like two love struck teenagers. Holding hands, looking into each other’s eyes and sheepishly whispering in each other’s ears. They seemed to be very happy; oh, so very happy to finally take the next step in their relationship.
Even before the morning photoshoot began, the two looked like they cherish every moment that they have together. Rosalba and George were quite shy at first but it did not take long before they started to cozy up and show their true emotions. Every shot was magical as they stared deep into each other’s eyes with George gently brushing his bride’s cheeks and casually dropping his hand to her waist. Rosalba was a bit hesitant to show her feelings at first but after a little bit of coaxing from her groom, she was let out of her shell. Together, they looked very natural. Every step, every caress and every smile. They truly are deeply in love and ready to be with each other. Together, for the rest of their lives.
We were back to Imerovigli Village in the evening in a small chapel with a spectacular view of Scaros Rock. The amazing golden colors that slowly faded as the sun finally set, cast a dramatic shadow on Rosalba and George’s day. It was the perfect ending to their day but no doubt the start of their new journey as a married couple.
I have worked with a number of couples throughout my career as a wedding photographer and I must say that I had a wonderful time working with Rosalba and George. I have never met a couple so in love and so into each other, to the extent that I felt very excited and honored to be the wedding’s official photographer. I would like to congratulate Rosalba and George for the stunning photoshoot and of course, for their upcoming wedding in Santorini. May your married life be happy and fruitful for years to come.
